FERRARI F80

Think this looks exciting?
You should see the spec sheet.

This marvel of automotive technology is the new Ferrari F80, the eagerly anticipated successor to the LaFerrari, the Enzo, F50 and F40 and 288GTO.

The specs alone would have read like science fiction just a few years ago.

Under this lithe, aerodynamically sculpted body are nine electric motors, an operatic petrol-powered engine and a battery. Yet the F80 weighs just 1525kg.

Four of those electric motors instantaneously alter the suspension characteristics to virtually eliminate dive, pitch and roll for telepathic levels of handling.

The other five are all there to make the F80 faster and more responsive than any road-registerable Ferrari in history. Two electric motors assist the turbos to make lag almost non-existent. Another sits in the transmission to boost torque levels lower in the rev range, while the front wheels each have their own electric motor to provide both speed and ultimate handling finesse.

The F80 engine’s redline is 9000rpm and 100km/h is reached in just 2.15 seconds. The 200km/h dash takes just 5.75 seconds. Under the driver’s right foot is 1200 cv (883kW) of power from the engine hybrid system combined. Needless to say, these figures are simply breathtaking.

Ferrari's engineers are experts at using electrification to create unparalleled performance – the technology also drives the prodigious, yet fuel-efficient responsiveness of the 296 GTB and GTS.

Only 799 of these incredible, collectible cars will ever be produced and they’ve all been sold. Like the cars that came before it, the F80 looks certain to be a classic.

NEW AUDI A5 AND S5

Big announcements from Audi.

The Audi A4 has been with us for three decades and five generations. And now there’s a new chassis, a new body, a new interior, a new name, and a whole new level of performance on the way following the recent international launch of the new Audi A5 and S5.

The A5 is a completely new generation of car, with more room, more performance, more tech and more style than the A4 that came before it - hence the new badge. The A5 also brings a generational leap in quality and in-cabin technology with a redesigned driver cockpit, steering wheel, seats, and a stunning digital display for both driver and front seat passenger.

New engine options increase both performance and efficiency. A highlight is the new Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) engine in the S5. This 3-litre turbo V6 also features two electric motors for a combined output of 270kW and 550Nm of torque hitting 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds.

The new A5 and S5 will be arriving in Australia soon. Contact us if you’d like to know more and be among the first to see these exciting new models from Audi.

BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT SPEED LAUNCH EVENT

Driving the new Bentley GT as the maker intended.

Bentley Melbourne recently launched the new 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed at Avalon Airport. The venue - an old aircraft hangar - was amazing, complete with an historic Canberra Bomber! But the most enjoyable part of the event was the full throttle experience of the cars out on the runway. After all, this is the most powerful car that Bentley has ever produced.

Thanks to the hybrid Twin-Turbo V8 powertrain, the new Bentley Continental GT Speed can generate 771 bhp, 1000 Nm of torque and hits 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds. This is a seriously fast, seriously luxurious car. The all-new suspension system also creates a more dynamic ride, with greater flexibility between the driving modes available.

Back in the hangar, guests enjoyed great food, a Bentley racing simulator, F1 photographer John Toscano's amazing work, a display from Anton’s jewellery, gin cocktails from 4 Pillars and wellness treatments from Bentley Melbourne partner Saint Haven. The event, like the cars, had all the luxury and refinement you’d expect from Bentley.

The Continental GT Speed is now on display at Bentley Melbourne. Don't miss this groundbreaking car.

ADELAIDE MOTORSPORT FESTIVAL

This is the good life, on track.

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival is fast becoming a must-attend event for anyone interested in cars and motorsport.

Of course, there’s also a lot of appeal for anyone interested in food and wine too.

This year’s Club Zagame X Penfolds Magill Estate facility celebrates the best position on track, with the best food, some extraordinary wines, and a list of famous names – both on the track and in the Club.

Stefan Johansson, Paul Oz, Thierry Boutsen will all be attending Club Zagame, while Valtteri Bottas, Gunther Steiner, Stefan Johansson, Jake and Damon Hill, and Vern Schuppan are just a few of the famous names that will also be at the event.

To top it all off, there’ll be over 250 cars out on the track, with an additional 600+ cars on close-up display. In all, there’s more than $200 million worth of cars to be fascinated by. For good reason, this event is being compared to the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Tickets for Club Zagame X Penfolds Magill Estate are now on sale. They don’t last long…anyone who’s been to this event can’t wait to go again.

SINGER TURBO STUDY TRACK DAYS

A Singer is just as special when viewed at high speed.

The detail, design and build quality of any Singer needs to be seen – actually, closely studied – to be truly appreciated.

But given the quality, it’s sometimes easy to forget these cars aren’t static displays. They’re made to be driven - and driven hard. Rob Dickinson set out to make the ultimate air-cooled Porsche, not the ultimate car display.

Singer recently brought their show-stopping turbo-charged Porsche 911 - Reimagined through Singer's Classic Turbo Services - to Australia and insisted the best place to show off the car was on the circuit.

With more than 460 HP available from the twin turbocharged 3.8 litre flat six, the Singer Turbo Study showed just how good it is at Sandown Raceway and Sydney Motorsport Park. It was driven by clients and accomplished British racing driver - and Singer Test Driver - Marino Franchitti (brother of Dario.)

The Turbo Study shattered all expectations, especially given the often tricky and slippery track conditions. But don’t take our word for how good these cars are. Here’s what others had to say:

“You cannot get any more characterful than a Singer, with every detail designed to deliver the highest driving enjoyment. If you get one, don’t just leave it in the garage – drive it!” –

Track time in the Turbo Study further proved that brilliant design and incredible attention to detail are only the start of the the Singer story.

THE McLAREN W1

This is what a profound sense of purpose looks like.

Every McLaren is designed and constructed with an obsessive focus on the driver.

The pioneering central driver’s seat in the F1 and Speedtail, the hydraulically assisted steering for ultimate feel, the uncompromised visibility, and the simple, utterly logical control layout all demonstrate McLaren’s focus on what drivers need - all without the unnecessary gimmicks and toys.

This purity shows in every McLaren, but especially in their cars designated with a ‘1’.

The W1 succeeds the F1, the Senna, the P1 and the Speedtail as McLaren’s halo car - their ‘best of the best’. It’s powered by a 664kW twin turbo V8 AND a 255kW electric motor working seamlessly together.

With production capped at only 399 units, this new Hypercar is the fastest lapping, fastest accelerating car ever made by McLaren.

In just 12.7 seconds on a circuit (or a convenient runway) you can be travelling at 300km/h. At this speed, you’ll be glad to know the aerodynamics have been honed by the Formula 1 team. Ground effects suck the car to the ground while the rear wing can extend back 300mm to increase stability at extreme speed – a longer car is more stable.

And remember what we said about the focus on the driver? The W1 is deliberately rear wheel drive only, both for lightness and a driver’s sense of ‘feel’. Purposeful indeed.

LAMBORGHINI URUS SE

Meaner and Greener at the same time

We recently invited customers and guests to a spectacular launch party of the new Lamborghini Urus SE on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour.

This new Hybrid Super 800 HP SUV uses a combination of Twin Turbo V8 and electric power for seamless, other-worldly acceleration - all while reducing emissions. That alone seems like a good excuse for a party.

This hybrid powertrain approach has already shown its incredible potential in the Lamborghini V8 hybrid Temerario supercar and V12 hybrid Revuelto hypercar. The instantaneous torque and response is also perfectly suited to an SUV - especially one designed with performance at its core.

This new Urus also has multiple aerodynamic, ergonomic and technological updates to make it an even more compelling drive.

The Urus SE is currently on display at Lamborghini Melbourne for a limited time, so book an appointment and discover how exciting the latest version of Lamborghini’s unique SUV can be.

DRIVEN LATELY - ALFA ROMEO GIULIA CARBONIO EDIZIONE

Feel the Alfa Romeo Difference.

Driving the Giulia reminds us just how enjoyable a nimble sports sedan can be.

Behind the wheel of the new Giulia Carbonio Edizione you feel connected to the road - but somehow still insulated from the potholes and bumps. The taut suspension also manages to be truly comfortable, while the 2 litre 206 kW turbo delivers huge driver appeal, and the enticing exhaust note you'd expect from Alfa Romeo.

The automatic gearbox is brilliant, and intuitively quick in its responses. Using it manually is a pleasure thanks to beautifully made aluminium paddle shifters that somehow always seem to be in the right place.

It’s worth pointing out that despite the fast gear changes (in the Giulia Veloce’s truly sporty sports mode) that this is a proper automatic. There’s no dithering at the lights or lurching, indecisive gear changes. It’s simply, in urban traffic, smoother and better.

The steering wheel is a little thinner than usual, but it’s all the better ergonomically for it. The in-dash screen must rank as one of the most elegant integrations of tech in a car. As a seamless part of the dash and operable by dial or touch, it’s easy to use and responsive. Like the Giulia itself.

Then there’s the Giulia’s looks. The Giulia still looks as svelte as the day it was sculpted. Design details like the asymmetric number plate only add to the appeal.

Of course, this ‘Carbonio’ special edition steps things up a notch with all the tastefully added carbon fibre trim. Mirrors, rear lip spoiler, door sills and more are all made from this exotic, lightweight material.

In a time when so many cars look so similar, the Giulia stands apart. The focus on the driver makes it a refreshing change too.

Considering the way it looks, the way it drives, the additional features in the Carboni Edizione, and how it makes you feel, a Giulia test drive should be in your plans very soon.
