In this edition of The Passion I am really pleased to announce something very exciting for our customers from the Zagame Automotive Group.
Early in 2025 we will be opening new Audi and CUPRA dealerships at Essendon Fields to service our clients even better. Despite all the moves to online selling, cars are an emotional purchase. I think there’s incredible value in being able to touch, smell and experience a car before you commit.
As you'll read later, it’s a big investment for Zagame Automotive, but we’re here for the long-term.
Of course, apart from new dealerships there are lots of new cars coming, and plenty of other things going on too. Please enjoy all the latest our team has gathered below.

ESSENDON FIELDS - NEW ZAGAME DEALERSHIPS
Zagame Automotive comes to Essendon Fields.
We are excited to announce construction has started on Zagame Automotive’s new dealerships for Audi and CUPRA, to serve one of the fastest growing areas in Melbourne. Over a million people live within an easy 15 minute drive of Essendon Fields and located on the Tullamarine Freeway, access couldn’t be easier.
These new dealerships are a significant investment in face-to-face customer service. The new site extends to more than 4500m2 including the two large showrooms and expansive service facilities for both brands. All showroom and service areas have been optimised to embrace an electric future including access to fast charging stations on-site.

The Audi brand - synonymous with quality and innovation - will be eagerly welcomed in this area serving Melbourne’s northern and western high-growth corridors. This will be Zagame’s fifth Audi dealership in Victoria, a sign of our faith in the brand, its range of exceptional products and Audi’s high-tech future.
From April this year, CUPRA will have a temporary showroom at Tullamarine, and then early in 2025 Essendon Fields will become the new home of Melbourne’s (and Zagame’s) second CUPRA dealership. The new showroom is testament to the impressive growth of the Spanish brand – a unique meld of performance, style and efficiency.
The Audi and CUPRA brands are both alike in driving the electric revolution here in Australia. The new showroom experiences will also be suitably advanced yet low impact, with both showrooms exceeding the latest sustainability standards.

AUDI Q4 E-TRON
A new EV that puts the style in lifestyle.
This is the new Audi Q4 e-tron. Two models will be here very soon – an SUV or Sportsback – and both are equally stylish, while also offering plenty of luxury and space.
There’s more than enough room for your active lifestyle too - dogs, baby seats, bikes or even a trip to IKEA can all be carried around efficiently and delivered safely home.
You may not be in a hurry to get out of the car though. The driver-focused design, heated, quilted leather seats, and thumping entertainment systems all make the new Q4 e-tron a car you’ll want to spend quality time in. Audi’s pre-eminence in interior design has clearly transitioned brilliantly to the EV space.
Performance is exceptional too. The single motor 210kW and 250 kW twin motor variants both provide ample acceleration and substantial range thanks to a large (standard) 82kWh battery pack.

MCLAREN ARTURA SPIDER
Sometimes, it’s hard to find a better word than just ‘wow’.
Amazing as it may seem, it isn’t just the looks that make the McLaren Artura Spider so special.
And while the introduction of a top-down version adds to the Artura's appeal, the folding roof is only another part of a much bigger story.
Like every McLaren, this car has been built around the driving experience. Here, technology hasn’t been used to sterilize the performance, but amplify it. Massively.
Power has been increased to 515 kw for a 0-100 time of just 3 seconds. Where normally a miniscule lag might exist before a turbo spools up to boost engine power, that’s gone. McLaren’s race engineers added an extra electric motor to infill the torque and power while the turbo gets it all together. The effect is staggering, instantaneous response.
There's also a new (even louder) exhaust system to add to the driving experience. And a great big smile on the driver’s face. Better still, thanks to the Artura’s carbon fibre body shell, the lack of a roof brings no loss of rigidity or handling finesse compared to the coupé.
This is a car that must be seen to be admired and driven to be appreciated. If you have the time and the means to be amazed, why wouldn’t you?

SYDNEY HARBOUR CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE
The world’s most beautiful cars in the middle of the world’s most beautiful harbour.
Zagame were proud to support the 2024 Sydney Harbour Concours. It’s hard to imagine a more picturesque location than Cockatoo Island in the middle of Sydney Harbour. Of course, the calibre of the cars on display more than lived up the photogenic backdrop.
Vehicles from the 1920’s to the cutting edge of tomorrow all formed part of this outstanding concours event. Among others, classic cars from Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Lamborghini and many more storied brands were all on display.
It was a celebration of all that’s special and Zagame were there with show stopping cars from Singer, Pagani and Brabus which all added to the quality and the variety of this very special display.

SINGER DLS - FIRST AUSTRALIAN DELIVERIES
Many car builders aim for ‘perfect’. Few get this close.
DLS stands for ‘Dynamics and Lightweighting Study’. One look at the scales says Singer hit their goals. Overall, the DLS weighs just 990kg. The body is hand-finished carbon fibre, so it’s not just light, it’s immensely strong.
As for Dynamics, it should be enough to say that Williams Engineering were part of the team responsible for that.
The 4lt flat 6 engine has a 9000rpm redline and produces 500 hp. It’s a unique combination of knowledge born from Formula 1, Singer’s obsession with perfectly executed design, and the engineering inherent in the original Porsche 964 – all ‘Reimagined’ by Singer to become something new altogether.
This is a car that rewards long, careful study. As an example, the carbon fibre ducts that direct air to the engine through aerodynamic intakes inside the rear windows are extraordinary. And extraordinarily beautiful too.

ROLLS-ROYCE GHOST
“Small things make perfection” – Henry Royce.
Most cars are the sum of their parts. And even a normal car might have more than 20,000 of them. Yet few cars reward an extremely close look the way a Rolls-Royce does. These cars are exceptional because every individual component is designed, refined, polished, beautified and loved to perfection.
Craftsmanship is everywhere you look. The timber in a Rolls-Royce will always be perfectly matched…every piece (and there are many) comes from the very same tree.
The logos on the wheel caps are bottom weighted and free spinning, so they remain perfectly upright at all times.
The leather quality is extraordinarily. It’s exclusively from high altitude bulls, where there are fewer mosquitoes and insects that could minutely scar the hides.
There is very little plastic to be seen, everything is milled, machined and crafted. The paint is applied layer by layer, then hand sanded, finished and polished to a sublime mirror finish.
These levels of skill and craftsmanship, lost to so many manufacturers, make every Rolls-Royce unique and worthy of genuine admiration. That’s why it’s been reported an unprecedented 65% of the cars Rolls-Royce have ever made are still on the road.

CUPRA – MATILDAS IN MELBOURNE
Helping the Matildas get to Paris.
The Matildas are a team who play with passion, and they’re supported by an equally passionate legion of Australian fans.
CUPRA is a brand completely driven by passion. As a team sponsor, it’s a match made in heaven.
CUPRA and a selection of owners and fans were thrilled to be in attendance at Marvel Stadium when the Matildas won their ticket to Paris with an emphatic 10-0 win over Uzbekistan in their second Olympic qualifier.
The decisive nature of the win was undoubtedly fuelled by an excited Australian crowd, thrilled to be watching some of the world’s best players perform at their absolute best.
We can’t wait for the Paris Olympics, and we’re sure every fan in attendance feels the same way.

ZAGAME AUTOSPORT - BATHURST 12 HOUR
12 hours is a long time in Motorsport.
Endurance racing is a cruel sport. It only takes one mistake, one miscalculation or one small component to ruin an otherwise perfect race. But all that is exactly why this long-form style of motor sport is so compelling.
For this year's Bathurst 12 hour event, Zagame Autosport came to the rescue by supplying two race-ready cars when Method Motorsport’s McLarens Artura GT4s were held up in shipping and wouldn’t make the event in time.
Sometimes, the dramas happen before the race even starts.
Rod Wilson from Zagame Autosport worked alongside the team from McLaren’s customer racing division in the UK, to provide engineering support for the Australian debut of the all new Artura GT4.
It was a solid outing for a brand new team with a brand new car, despite the early dramas. We’re all looking forward to taking everything that was learned this year into 2025!
Over the 12 hours it became obvious that this young team lead by Chaz Mostert and their Artura GT4s both have massive potential.
